Former Queensland Premier Mike Ahern, after ten years as a client of McIntosh Financial Planning, has accepted the position of chairman of McIntosh Financial Planning. Mr Ahern is also a Trade & Investment Commissioner for the Queensland Government. Mr Ahern is also Chairman of the Indue Group of companies, a financial services corporation whose clients are primarily Credit Unions. He is also Chairman of the Australian Liver Foundation and ATSE Clunies Ross Foundation part of the Australian Academy of Technological Science and Engineering. Mike Ahern is continuing to promote economic and philanthropic activities in Queensland.

FAICD Self Managed Superannuation Fund Accredited Specialist John established McIntosh Financial Planning Pty Ltd on 1 July 1986, and is well recognised within the industry as a specialist in retirement and redundancy legislation. Under his guidance, McIntosh Financial Planning Pty Ltd have developed an outstanding reputation within the industry for the trust and integrity of its operation.. John is a keen blue water sailor, having skippered his yacht, Boomaroo Morse Fans, in 10 Sydney - Hobart yacht races from 1991 -2000. His excuse was that it was a necessary diversification from the stresses of financial planning. He now releases the stresses laying on the beach at Mooloolaba.

John Souter-Robertson CFP, Dip F.P. Self Managed Superannuation Fund Accredited Specialist John joined McIntosh Financial Planning Pty Ltd in January 1995 and became a Director in March 2003. Since McIntosh Financial Planning Pty Ltd was awarded their Australian Financial Services Licence, John has also served as Compliance Manager for the group. Prior to joining McIntosh, John had an extensive career in the Insurance Industry. John is also a keen golfer.
